Corn Quiche

Ingredients:
1 can of Corn. sieved
1 cup of milk
2 beaten eggs
1/4 cup of oil
3 Tblsp self raising flour / Gluten free flour
salt, pepper
Grated hard cheese

Method:
Heat the oven to 180 degrees
Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and put into a flan dish.
Add grated cheese on top.
Bake for 30 minutes or until it browns.

Roast Potatoes – Inspired by and Courtesy of Mick Hucknall

Ingredients:
Potatoes
Rosemary
Olive oil
Goose fat or any other fat available
Salt

Method:
Cut up potatoes into quarters.
Boil them for 5 minutes.
Place in tray laced in olive oil
Sprinkle the fat, rosemary and salt on top.
Place in ready heated oven and cook for 30 minutes.
Turn the potatoes over and cook for another 30 minutes.

רוטב צ’ימיצ’ורי

המצרכים (10 מנות):

  • חבילה וחצי פטרוזיליה קצוצה דק
  • בצל וחצי, קצוץ לקוביות
  • גמבה גדולה קצוצה
  • 7-8 שיני שום טרי כתושות
  • 150 מ”ל שמן רגיל (קצת יותר מחצי כוס)
  • 150 מ”ל חומץ לבן (קצת יותר מחצי כוס)
  • חצי כף מלח
  • פלפל שחור טחון
  • מעט אורגנו יבש
  • מעט שבבי צ’ילי גרוס

אופן ההכנה:

מערבבים יחד את כל החומרים ומכניסים למקרר. הרוטב צריך לנוח בקירור יממה בערך, עד שהתבלינים והחומץ מקבלים את החריפות העדינה שמתלבשת כל כך טוב על האמפנדס והבשר.

Beetroot salad

Ingredients:

4 cooked beetroot’s
1 lemon
1 teaspoon wine vinegar
1 teaspoon cumin
3 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon salt

Method:

  1. Chop up the beetroots into cubes
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.

Chremsales

Ingredients:

2 eggs
1 level teaspoon salt
2/3 cup warm water
3/4 cup matzo meal
1 level tablespoon sugar

Method:

  1. Beat the eggs and add the salt and 2 tablespoons of the water and mix till it’s thick.
  2. Gradually add the meal, the sugar and enough additional water to make a thick batter that just drops from the spoon.
  3. Fry in oil until golden and puffy on both sides.

Sauce for spagghetti

Ingredients:

1/4 teaspoon soup powder
3 tablespoons oil
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3  cloves of garlic
1/1 teaspoon paprika

Method:

  1. Boil all up in pan and stir occasionly.

Roast Potato’s

Ingredients:

1 desert spoon margarine
1 1/2 spoons of oil
small onion sliced
Potato’s as desired

Method:

  1. Prepare and boil potato’s for 10 minutes
  2. Brown the onion with margarine and oil till slightly brown.
  3. Add the potato’s, make sure they are not too dry. Season with salt, pepper and paprika and cook in oven for 1/2 an hour. Turn the potato’s over and season again and cook for another 1/2 an hour.

Rice

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of rice
2 1/2 glasses water
1/2 teaspoon chicken soup powder

Method:

  1. Rinse out the rice 3  times.
  2. Grease well the pan and fry the rice. Add the water and soup powder, cover and let boil. Once boiled lower the light and leave to cook for 15 minutes till ready.

Baked Potato’s

 

Method:

  1. Scrape potato’s and bake in microwave for 4-5 minutes. Test to see if soft.
  2. Add margarine and salt to each potato and cover with tinfoil. Put in oven for 3/4 – 1 hour.

Cherchi

Ingredients:

Boiled carrots
Cumin
Kimmel
Tzug
2 teaspoons salt

Method:

  1. Cut up the boiled carrots.
  2. Stir all the ingredients together with boiled water, add lemon juice and stir.
